Applicants attended a face-to-face assessment centre where they were assessed on their fault finding, the ability to concentrate, memory and the ability to plan and manage unexpected events. Those who were successful were invited to a second assessment centre where they sat a multi-skilling test and a competency based interview. A short list was then provided to our client who undertook their own interviews. Our client believes that those who were offered jobs were of a high calibre and will make excellent Train Managers. They were pleased with the result and so were we!
Many clients use our OPC bureau service to help save them time and effort during the recruitment process. We have a United States client assessing over 500 train driver applicants using some bespoke online train driver assessments. Another overseas client is using online verbal and numerical tests to assess hundreds of conductor applicants. Finally, we have another overseas rail client that is using our bespoke driver online sift form plus online testing to help recruit safe and effective on track machine drivers. Lots of variety for the OPC team to work on!
Exciting new work to develop a test for a leading worldwide airline
Posted on 9th January 2020
The new verbal test will be used across the world to help recruit for frontline roles. We will now move quickly into our research and development phase which will then be followed by the trialling phase with airline candidates. We are then looking for the new test to go live in the first quarter of 2020. We are very excited about working with our new client and to see how we can delight them!
