Selecting employees who are safety aware: A new and exciting test development from OPC Assessment

Posted on 5th July 2017

We are excited to announce the release of our new Safety Awareness Test (SAT) that has been developed by working very closely with two reputable and award winning UK train companies.

The SAT measures the ability to sustain concentration and recognise potential risks to accidents quickly and accurately in a safety-critical environment.

It is essential for employees within the railway industry to be safety aware of any potential risks and hazards especially when the public and customers are involved. The SAT has been specifically designed to assess the ability to identify risks and hazards that may cause accidents or safety incidents within a railway environment. The test consists of 15 rail related scenes that include a number of hazards and safety related risks that are commonly found on stations, platforms and on board trains. The candidate’s task is to identify these safety related risks and hazards.
