NEW assessment tool released: Core Skills Mechanical Reasoning Test (CoreM)
Are you looking to recruit for an engineering, graduate, or apprenticeship programme role where Mechanical Reasoning ability is a key skill needed to perform the role successfully? Would you like to identify those candidates who are more likely to succeed in mechanical training and demonstrate strong mechanical ability on the job?
If so, then the NEW Core Skills Mechanical Reasoning Test (CoreM) may be a helpful tool to include in your talent recruitment process.
The CoreM is a new test that measures a candidate’s ability to reason with mechanical information and find solutions using their knowledge of concepts relating to physics and mechanics. Candidates are presented with a series of labelled, mechanical diagrams. For each question, there are three multiple-choice answers. Candidates must use the information provided in the diagram to choose the correct answer.
The CoreM assessment tool is not specific to any industry and it is suited to any role where reasoning with mechanical principles is a required competency. It is a short, timed, multiple-choice ability test that is available online.
