Practice Transport Verbal Reasoning Test (TVRT)

Transport Verbal Reasoning Test - Free Sample (PDF)

The practice Transport Verbal Reasoning Test (TVRT) measures your ability to understand instructions correctly. The TVRT has been designed based on the logic of many bespoke tests, specifically the Reading Comprehension Test (RCT).

The TVRT was designed for those applying for different roles within the transport industry therefore this practice test is useful for those applying for a frontline transport role, but particularly useful for those completing the Transport for NSW RCT.

This practice test is also suitable to help you prepare for a number of our other tests & exercises, including:

  • Bus Driver Verbal Test (BDVT);
  • Customer Service Verbal Test (CSVT);
  • Rules Acquisition and Aptitude Test (RAAT);
  • Station Ticket and Verbal Test (STVT); and,
  • Verbal Comprehension for Safety Test (VCST).

The full version of the TVRT consists of 24 multiple-choice questions based on passages of text. You will also have guidance on how to score the practice test and have access to the answers and the explanations so you can see where you went wrong to help you improve.

Why Practice?

The purpose of a practice test is to familiarise you with what will be expected of you when you complete the real test. It is not a mini version of the real test, nor is it intended to train you to pass the real test. Therefore, you will find the contents of the practice test to be similar, but not identical to the real test.

Regardless of whether you are sitting an online or paper version of the test, the practice materials will still help you to do your best, even if you do the practice on paper.

If you have been invited to complete a test designed by OPC Assessment, it is recommended you practice for that test with authorised practice materials that have also been designed by OPC Assessment.
