Driver Fault Finding Test (DFFT) Practice

The Driver Fault Finding Test (DFFT) Practice measures your ability to think logically in order to identify and solve faults in an efficient, safe manner. The DFFT Practice has been designed based on the logic of many fault finding tests, specifically The OPC’s off-the-shelf DFFT that you may be asked to sit for an assessment centre. This practice test is ideal for those applying for the role of a train driver where you may be required to fault find on the job.

The DFFT Practice Test has 15 questions that consist of logical instructions to follow to identify faults. You may have already received some DFFT practice materials from the company you may have applied to. However this practice test includes additional questions that includes guidance on how to score the test and gives you access to the answers and the explanations so you can see where you went wrong to help you improve.

"Brilliant purchase, easy to understand and the examples were fantastic, would highly recommend to others who are looking at becoming a train driver."

Why Practice?

The purpose of a practice test is to familiarise you with what will be expected of you when you complete the real test. It is not a mini version of the real test, nor is it intended to train you to pass the real test. Therefore, you will find the contents of the practice test to be similar, but not identical to the real test.

Regardless of whether you are sitting an online or paper version of the test, the practice materials will still help you to do your best, even if you do the practice on paper.

If you have been invited to complete a test designed by OPC Assessment, it is recommended you practice for that test with authorised practice materials that have also been designed by OPC Assessment.
