Description
The Train Dispatch Multi-Tasking Test (TDMT) assesses an applicant's ability to multi-task by concentrating on two tasks at once. This is a key safety-critical task required of Train Dispatch employees who must be able to make sound and safe decisions about train operations but also need to provide information to customers when appropriate. They must complete one key primary task and where possible complete a secondary task also.
You need dispatchers who are conscientious, accurate and vigilant whilst also being able to provide the necessary answers to customer questions. The TDMT can help assess these key characteristics.
As well as Train Dispatch employees, the TDMT is a useful tool when assessing applicants for any role which requires the ability to multi-task whilst maintaining concentration, such as Depot Driving roles.
Alternatively if you're looking for a paper-based test to assess the same characteristics as the TDMT, please check out our Train Dispatch Concentration Test (TDCT). The TDCT uses an audio presentation of the multi-tasking activity with the candidates making their responses on a paper answer sheet.
